Embracing Education and Wellness: The Story of Omniea Inc.

I am so excited to share my journey and the vision behind this global education company, rooted in the foundations of wellness and self-care. My name is Amy, and I am the founder of Omniea Inc.

My goal for this blog is to provide another avenue for parents, teachers, and students alike, to find resources and supports in a variety of educational and lifestyle topics. I am passionate about writing and I hope that this blog will, overtime, become a helpful library of valuable insights and resources to many. In this first blog post, I would like to take a moment to share with you the story of Omniea and shed light on the inspiration that led to its creation.

I have always been passionate about education and helping others. As I began my journey to become a teacher, I realized that there was more I was passionate about in education that looked beyond the classroom walls. It had always been a dream of mine to have my own education company, where I could connect with educators and students around the globe, prioritizing mental health and equitable education for all, while learning about practices that will best support students and their learning. As I progressed through the beginning years of my teaching career, I found myself pondering the true meaning of education and its impact on our overall well-being. It was during this time that the seeds of Omniea really began to take root and finally started to come to fruition.

In August 2022, I decided to finally bring Omniea to light and to embark on this journey. I took a personal leave of absence from my school board, moved abroad with my now husband while he studied abroad, and launched Omniea Inc. Driven by a lifelong dream to make a positive difference in the lives of students worldwide, I decided to channel my passion for education and mental health advocacy into creating a platform that would nurture both the mind and the soul.

At Omniea, I firmly believe in a holistic education approach that recognizes the vital importance of mental health in the learning process. My mission is to bring mental health to the forefront of education and provide a nurturing environment where students can flourish academically, emotionally, and socially. By intertwining academic support with an emphasis on well-being, I aim to empower students to reach their full potential while developing the skills necessary for a fulfilling and balanced life.

Central to this vision is the provision of personalized, one-on-one tutoring support to students across the globe. I understand that each student is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and aspirations. Omniea offers tailored guidance and mentorship to foster individual growth and success. Whether it's academic subjects, exam preparation, or skill development, we are committed to empowering students on their educational journey.

Omniea is not just a resource for students; we are here to support educators, parents, and individuals as well. My hope is that this blog will serve as a hub of valuable information, resources, and tips and tricks to enhance the educational experience and promote overall well-being. I believe that by fostering strong partnerships with educators, collaborating with parents, and providing guidance to individuals, we can create a positive ripple effect that extends beyond the classroom.

As I write this blog post, Omniea is currently a year and a half old. What started 1.5 years ago in August 2022 with one student in a one-time class, has now grown into so much more. Omniea has brought in over 20 full time students, spanning four different continents, with one-time and short-term students enrolled in between. Omniea has collaborated with other digital education companies from three different continents and has developed custom resources for educators worldwide. While this may seem like small feats in 1.5 years, I am so incredibly proud of myself for the work that I have put in to bringing Omniea to light, and the goals and plans I have coming ahead for the future leave me full of inspiration.

I am most proud, however, of the impact that Omniea is making on individuals and their educational and emotional experiences, as well as the connections and roots that are being made. Being able to help students, young and old, with their self-esteem and seeing them begin to believe in themselves and what they have the potential for, is truly incredible and awe-inspiring. I believe that everyone is worthy of self-love and of a mind where they feel empowered by themselves to achieve their goals. It has been incredible to be a part of this journey with so many individuals.

I am extremely grateful for the experiences that Omniea has granted me thus far. I have learned about different cultures, languages, and education systems. I have learned about different learning exceptionalities, specific student needs, and best practices. I have always believed that I will be a lifelong learner, and I am absolutely thrilled for the learning opportunities to come, for myself, and for those who choose to join Omniea in various educational settings.
